Sandra K. Mast, age 72, of Quincy, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 12:20 am in her home with her husband by her side.
Sandra was born February 11, 1944 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of George and Betty Ryan Johnson. She married William Mast on December 29, 1962 in St. Rose of Lima Church in Quincy. He survives.
She was employed by Harris Broadcast Corporation for several years as an electronics technician. She then worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield until her retirement in 1995. Sandra traveled extensively especially across the United States in her motor home. She spent 20 years wintering at her Florida home where she spent time on the beach collecting sea shells. She loved knitting, crocheting, quilting, painting and fishing. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the sweetest most kindhearted woman and was deeply loved.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Matthew (Maria) Mast, of Quincy, IL, and Steven (Patricia) Mast of Palmyra, MO; six grandchildren, Justin LaPage of Fountain Inn, SC, Adam Mast of Taylor, MO, Trenton Moore of Easley, SC, Elena, William and Richard Mast, all of Quincy, IL; a great grandchild, Kerigen Wells, of Quincy; a brother, Bob (Cindy) Johnson of Quincy; two sisters, Janice Johnson of Quincy and Jody (Bob) Garrison of East Alton, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Willing.
Services: 10:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Monsignor Leo Enlow officiating.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery
Visitation: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
