Lois D. Boettger, age 90, of 1316 Madison, Quincy, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 6:33 pm in her home.
Lois was born November 20, 1924 in Cook County, Illinois, the daughter of Louis and Alma Moeller Marquardt. On February 9, 1946 she married Harry Boettger in Bensenville, IL. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1996.
Lois moved to Quincy in 1990. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and attended the Ladies' Bible Class regularly. In her spare time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include: four sons, Gerald Boettger of Dexter, MI; Glenn Boettger of Quincy; Gregg Boettger of Decatur, IL; and James (Claudine) Boettger of Aurora, IL; two grandchildren, Kristin Kay Boettger of New York, NY; and Brian Boettger of Ft. Wayne, IN; four great grandchildren, James Austin, Landon, Sophia, and Charlotte Boettger.
In addition to her husband, Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister-in-law, Edna Boettger.
Services: Monday, March 9, 2015 at 2:30 pm in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Mike Fieberkorn officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
Visitation: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm, Monday March 9, 2015 at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.
