Loretta Jean Lease, age 79, formerly of Plainville, died Sunday (February 8, 2015) at 4:20 a.m. in Remarkable Healthcare Center in Seguin, Texas.

She was born October 10, 1935 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Loren Lester and Lenora Catherine Boone Lease.

She was a graduate of Seymour High School in Payson and was a baptized member of St. Brigid's Catholic Church. All her life she had loved horses and was still riding at the age of 79. She raised, trained, and raced horses most of her life. She was a member of the Great Trails Saddle Club of Texas and the Quincy Saddle Club. Miss Lease worked for over 30 years for Motorola Company as a group leader. When the company closed in Quincy Illinois she moved to Texas. Survivors include a step-daughter in law, Theresa Collins; a step son-in-law, Randall Collins; and a step-grandson in law, Tyler Collins of Seguin Texas; two nephews, Thomas (Jane) Steinman, and Timothy (Kathy) Steinmann; two nieces, Michell (Thomas) Rakers, and Maria (John) Deibert; eight great nieces and great nephews; one great-great niece and one great-great nephew; one great-great-great niece all of Highland Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her significant other G.W. (Gordon) Finch, two sister, Delores Ann Lease (infancy) and LaGreta Ann "Sis" Steinmann

Services: 10 a.m. Friday (February 20, 2015) in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Stone officiating.

Burial: Shiloh Cemetery near Plainville, IL.

Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Thursday (February 19, 2015) at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home

Memorials: Quincy Saddle Club, Great Trails Saddle Club or one's local animal shelter
