Delorise A. Sassen, age 68, of 3121 Payson Road, Quincy died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2:25 pm in Blessing Hospital.
She was born August 9, 1939 in Watertown, Tennessee the daughter of Johnny and Rosalee Tramel Taylor. She married Eugene Sassen on November 16, 1957 in Nashville, TN.
She was a 1956 graduate of Watertown High School in Tennessee. She had been a secretary and worked as a 911 Dispatcher for Adams County. She was of the Catholic faith and had been a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Quincy.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years; 4 sons, Roger Sassen and wife Barbara of Lile, IL, Anthony "Tony" Sassen and wife Elizabeth "Beth" of Quincy, John Sassen and wife Debbie of Lombard, IL, Eddie Sassen and wife Gina of Glendale, AZ; a daughter, Dianna Herren-Morris of Quincy, and 14 grandchildren; 2 brothers, William Taylor and wife Becky of Watertown, TN, and J. L. Taylor and wife Frances of Lebanon, TN, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jonny Ruth.
Services 1:00 pm Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Ehresman officiating.
Visitation: at the time of services.
