Barbara Louise Taylor, 65, formerly of Quincy, died Saturday, February 9, at 7:12 am at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born June 12, 1942 in Quincy, the daughter of Hebert Lawrence Mangold and Elaine Aldag Mangold.
On June 13, 1964, she married Robert Hezekiah Taylor in Salem Church. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1983.
Barbara worked at the Illinois Veterans Home as a housekeeper for 15 years. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the Bible study group, and a Den mother. She was active in the 12 step program for Jesus.
Survivors include: her fiancé Bob Jones of New London, MO; 2 sons, Robert Crist Taylor and Troy Allen Taylor; 2 brothers, Herbert Ralph Mangold and Lee Allen Mangold; 2 sisters, Vicki Lynn Jackson and Katheryn Elaine Morris; and 2 grandchildren, Robert Lee Taylor and Andrew Michael Taylor; all of Quincy. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father and a son Robert John Taylor.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Tuesday at 11:00 am in Hansen Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Wanda Seydel Officiating.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Hansen Spear.
MEMORIALS: Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ.
