Stella C. Ehrhardt, age 92, formerly of 7608 White Oak Road, Melrose Twp.died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 12:25 A.M. in Good Samaritan Home where she had been a resident for 6 1/2 years.
She was born August 18, 1912 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Nuessen Klingele. On May 15, 1935, she married Edward J. Ehrhardt in Quincy. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1980.
Mrs. Ehrhardt and her husband lived all their lives on the family farm. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony's Altar Society, the Secular Franciscan Order, and the Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking and quilting.
Survivors include her son, Alvin 'Spike' Ehrhardt and his wife Theresa of Hannibal, MO; 2 daughters, Rosalyn Boone and her husband Roger of Plainville, IL and Rita Mae Lentz and her husband Harold of Hannibal, MO; 13 grandchildren, Roger J. Boone and his wife Marilyn of Plainville, IL; Raymond Boone and his wife Kim of Paloma, IL, and Rose Marie Lugering and her husband Dana of Quincy; Stephen Ehrhardt and his wife Donna of Lebanon, MO; Stanley Ehrhardt and his wife Heather of Moberly, MO; Scott Ehrhardt of Bowling Green, MO; Shawn Ehrhardt of Hannibal, MO; Sherri Wiley and her husband Kevin of Hannibal, MO; Sarah Ehrhardt of Astoria, NY, and Stacey Ehrhardt of Columbia, MO; Kim Gibbons and her husband Danny of Edina, MO; Amy Adams and her husband James of Gower, MO, and Bruce Windoffer and his wife Amy of Shawnee, KS; nineteen great grandchildren, and one sister, Blanche Vogel of Quincy.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy; a granddaughter, Stella Ehrhardt; four brothers, Carl, Walter, Norbert and Edgar; a sister, Ruth Peter, and a son-in-law, Donald Windoffer.
A funeral mass will be held Monday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Hagstrom, Rev. Phil Hoebing, O.F.M., and Rev. Irenaeus Kimminau, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-7 pm at the Hansen-Spear funeral home with a wake service at 4:00 pm. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
