Betty Ann Sohn, age 79, formerly of 1122 North 4th, Quincy, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 in Timber Point Health Care Center in Camp Point.
She was born November 3, 1925 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph Leroy and Ethel Mae Clement Barlow. On November 5, 1946 she married Harold A. Sohn in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1989.
She was employed at Motorola and A & W. Later, she was employed by the Illinois Veterans Home as a Nurse's Assistant for 10 years.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Sharon Oberdahlhoff and her husband Michael, Ethel Doellman and her husband Russell and Pamela Mason of all of Quincy; 2 sons, Daniel Sohn and his wife Carol of Quincy and Harold Junior Sohn of Center, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Barlow of Jamestown, ND; one sister, Doris Dyer of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Kimberly Oberdahlhoff and a grandson in infancy, one brother and 3 sisters, Ethel Griffin, David Barlow, Lucille Hahn and Mildred Stanger.
Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 6, 2004 Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Russell Hess, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois 62301. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-6 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
