Donald F. Kuhn, 69, St. Vincent's Home, formerly of Harvest Hills, Quincy, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 6:42 a.m. in Blessing Hospital.
He was born December 31, 1934 in Quincy, the son of Edgar J. and Florence Ohnemus Kuhn. He was married to Carole McGartland who survives.
Mr. Kuhn attended Quincy schools and St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. He was employed for many years as a salesman for Steve Nosser Ford in Quincy and Tom Boland Ford in Hannibal. He was an avid hunter, bowler and loved to play cards. He enjoyed a lifetime of love with his family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Kuhn, Magnolia, TX: Brian Kuhn and his wife Angela, Summerville, S.C.; five daughters, Debbie Klauser and her husband, Roger, Mendon, IL, Linda Ensminger and her husband, Terry, Mendon, IL, Tammy Kirchner and her husband Ed, Murphysboro, IL, Kris Truelove and her husband Tim, Fort Benning, Ga: Kim Kuhn, Quincy; 12 grandchildren, April Born, Nicole Hightower, Katherine Kuhn, Victoria Kuhn, Brittany Hillebrenner, Lauren Kuhn, Brandon Kuhn, Andrew Watkins, Shiann Truelove, ELizabeth Truelove, Baily Stratman, Korbin Stratman, 4 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Lisa Kuhn, Quincy; a sister, Lucille Haschemeyer, Golden, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brent on June 12, 2000 and a grandson Jordan Kuhn in 1993.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. in the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church, Rev. Jim Finn officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday with a Wake Service at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to St. Vincent's Home or St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
