Elizabeth Jane Baker,age 67, 921 Maple, Quincy, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 6:55 p.m. at the Pana Community Hospital, Pana, IL.
She was born January 30, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Sterling and Eva Foster Hardin. On June 16, 1961, she married Walter L. Baker in Palmyra, MO. He survives.
Mrs. Baker attended Calvary Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, loved to cook and loved her family very much.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a son, David L. Baker, Quincy; 2 daughters, Theresa A. Tucker and her husband Arthur, Quincy; Mary J. Jacobs and her husband David A., Ursa, IL.; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly Tucker, Quincy; Arthur Aaron Tucker, Quincy; Walter I. House and his wife Megan, Quincy; Elizabeth L. House, Clayton; Alisa Baker, Quincy; Dana Baker, Quincy; Angel McKinney, Ursa; 4 sisters, Barbara Peterson and her husband Dale, Madison, WI; Donna Weed and her husband Wayne, Sr., Quincy; Marie Lawless and her husband Donald, Quincy; Penny Snider and her husband Randy, Mendon; a brother, Donald Hardin and his wife Ann, Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Allie, a brother John and a nephew John.
Funeral services will be Monday morning, April 21, 2003 at 10:30 AM in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. L.D. Grant officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Adams County Lung Association.
