Edna H. Pieper, formerly of 1128 Jefferson, Quincy, died Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 7:45 pm in Good Samaritan Home.
She was born February 21, 1913 in Quincy, the daughter of Robert and Helen Hild Hintz. She married Harold J. Klocke in Quincy, and he preceded her in death. In November of 1968, she married Ray Pieper in Quincy, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1997.
She had worked in the Cafeteria at Quincy Junior High School for numerous years. She was a member of Luther Memorial Church, and she loved to play cards, was a wonderful cook, and loved her family.
She is survived by a daughter, JoAnne Sparrow and her husband Bill, Quincy; a son, Gene Klocke and his wife Phyllis, Montgomery, AL; 6 grandchildren, Nancy Gallaher and her husband Ray, Quincy; David Sparrow, USN and his wife Melissa, Groton, CT; Sally Sparrow, Quincy; Jeff Klocke and his wife Kim, Georgetown, KY; Jill Hooks and her husband Randy, Montgomery, AL; Jane Bates and her husband Jonathan, Hoover, AL; 10 great grandchildren and a brother Robert Hintz, Hannibal, MO. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Hintz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2002 at 11:00 am in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Leland Uden officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Luther Memorial Church.
