Evelyn Rueb

Evelyn Rueb, age 78, of the Barry Community Care Center and formerly of Kinderhook died Friday morning, March 1, 2002 at 5:30 AM in the Barry Community Care Center.

She was born July 3, 1923 in Plainville, Illinois, the daughter of Herman Althoff and Elizabeth K. Schafer Althoff. She married Charles Rueb, Jun 19, 1951 in Payson Congregational Church. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rueb was a self employed drapery seamstress. She was a 4-H leader for many years and was active with Rural Youth Organizations. She taught Sunday School at Kinderhook Methodist Church.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Teresa K. Rueb, New Canton, Trella L. Dunham and her husband Steve, Griggsville, 2 sons, Kyle Rueb and his wife Debbie, Plainville, Kevin Rueb, Kinderhook; 7 grandchildren, Clinton Rueb, Hull, Michelle Rueb, Hull, Melody Rueb, Hull, Calvin Rueb, Hull, Wesley Dunham, Griggsville, Skyler Dunham, Griggsville, Eric Rueb, Plainville, a stepgrandson, Brock Billings, Hull a stepgreatgrandson, Weston Billings, Hull a brother, Marvin Althoff and his wife Marie, Monticello, MO several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Private services will be held at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Sallee officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
