Frances Helen Fenton Kamm, age 85, of 2130 Harrison died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Home.
She was born on September 7, 1926 in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ralph and Emily Deyer Fenton. She married Joseph Kamm in October, 1951 in Maywood, IL. He preceded her in death in September, 1981.
Frances was a graduate of Proviso East High School, Maywood, IL and the University of Illinois School of Pharmacy, Chicago. She worked as a pharmacist until she left to raise her children. She was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church. Frances was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Laurie (James) Assell of Clayton, Joseph (Christine) Kamm of Valparaiso, IN and Jane (Gary) Gillespie of Quincy; and her grandchildren, Brian (Katie) Ahsell of Champaign, Patrick (Julianne) Gillespie of Salisbury, MA, Greg (Jessica) Ahsell of Quincy, Karen Gillespie of Williamsburg, VA and Julie Gillespie of Bloomington, IN.
Memorial Service: A memorial service celebrating Frances' life will be held at the Faith Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Rod Bakker officiating.
Visitation: Thursday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church
Private Inurnment: will take place at a later date in Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
Memorials: The family request that memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society, Quincy Public Library, or Good Samaritan Home.
