Lawrence E. 'Larry' Frankenbach, 73, 1020 So. 18th, Quincy, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at Blessing Hospital Emergency Room at 4:18 A.M..
He was born June 10, 1926 in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of William F. Frankenbach and Anna M Herren Frankenbach.
On December 27, 1952, he married Elizabeth Ann 'Liz' Lochman in Palmyra, MO. She survives at the home.
Mr. Frankenbach was a graduate of Palmyra High School and attended the University of Missouri. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II and in the U. S. Air Force from 1948-1952. He had been self- employed as a salesman for various businesses. Mr. Frankenbach was a member of the Lutheran Church of St. John and a member of the Elks Lodge.
Survivors in addition to his wife are 2 sisters-in-law, Polly Frankenbach, Nashville, TN. Marie Grawe and her husband Wayne, Washington, IL. brother-in-law, Eugene Lochman and his wife Clara, Palmyra, MO., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Elmer and Raymond.
Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Friday, March 17, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Harold J. Bender, Jr. officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7P.M. Thursday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of St. John . Full military rites will be conducted my American Legion post # 37 at the cemetery.
