Clara "C.L." Kirkton, 83, 2130 Harrison, Quincy, (formerly of Perry, Illinois)died Wednesday, February 2, 2000 in Blessing Hospital.

She was born November 16, 1916 in Perry, Illinois, the daughter of Harris and Margaret Hoerlein Bradbury.

She had worked for the Pike County Highway Department for 30 Years. She graduated from the Perry High School. She Attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, and MacMurray College in Jacksonville. She belonged to the Eastern Star-- Cornelia Chapter of Perry, Illinois and the Business and Professional Women Club. She was a member of the Perry Presbyterian Church

Survivors include: A sister, Florine E. Brooks of Galesburg, IL, 3 Daughters, Susan Killion and her husband Vern, Elwood, NE, Ginger Whitaker and her husband Roger, Quincy, Mary Jane Bushnell and her husband Virgil, Springfield, IL; 6 grandchildren, Kay Peters, Karen Glosemeyer, Ryan Whitaker, and Lance Whitaker, all of Quincy.; Sara DeCroix, Petersburg, IL, and Amy Williams, Riverton, IL; And 11 Great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her Parents, and an infant brother.

Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, February 5, at the Perry Presbyterian Church, officiating, Rev. Steve Dissler, Chaplain at Good Samaritan Home. Burial in McCord Cemetery, Perry, Illinois.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Friday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Eastern Star services 6:30 pm conducted by the Alpha Chapter O.E.S..

Memorial contributions may be made to Perry Presbyterian Church, Blessing Foundation for Hospice or American Cancer Society .
