Robert Byrnes, age 86, of Pontiac, Michigan and formerly of Adams County, Il. died Friday, January 14, 2000 in Pontiac.
He was born December 12, 1913, in Hamilton, Illinoios, the son of Harvey Byrnes and Clara Whitson Byrnes.
On November 24, 1939, he married Ella Echternkamp . She preceded him in death on June 26, 1999.
Mr. Byrnes was a lifetime employee of General Motors. Mr. Byrnes was a 33rd degree mason and a member of Moslem Temple, A.A.O.N. M.S. in Detroit , Michigan and Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Michigan, Pontiac Council #3R & S.M. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church of Waterford, Michigan.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Underwood, Blandinsvillle, Il.3 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces & nephews, .
He also was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and 2 brothers Harvey & John.
Masonic services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2PM in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home followed by funeral services conducted by the Rev. Steve Schuette. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2PM Thursday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
