Melvin A. 'Bud' Eisenberg, 82, Rural Route #1, Box 250, LaGrange, died Monday, January 24, 2000 at the Blessing Hospital at 11;25 P.M..
He was born January 18, 1918 in Adams County, Illinois, the son of Albert C. Eisenberg and Freida Binger Eisenberg.
On June 7, 1940, he married Dona Jones in Springfield, Mo..
Mr. Eisenberg and his wife were partners in building a farming and cattle operation in the LaGrange and Maywood area. He was active in mangement of the farm until his death. A talented mechanic, he spent many hours working on machinery and teaching his skills to others. He was also an avid quail hunter, and in his later years, very much enjoyed going to flea marakets, auctions and fishing with his grandchildren;
Survivors include 1 son, Merlin Eisenberg and his wife Lauri, Quincy, Il.; 2 daughters, Elaine Gorrell and her husband Lynn, Canton, Mo., Abbie Flynn and her husband John, Maywood, Mo. 7 grandchildren, Alan Johnson and his wife Marla, Bothwell, WA. , Alisha, Kristin & Heather Rees, Maywood, Mason, Jordan & Taylor Eisenberg, Quincy.
He also was preceded in death by by his parents, wife, and a brother Donald Eisenberg
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1PM in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Knuffman officiating. Burial in Maywood Cemetery, Maywood, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7PM Wednesday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
