James C. Eggemeyer , 46, 1022 So. 7th, Quincy, died Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at the Blessing Hospital.

He was born March 20, 1953 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of John Mathias Eggemeyer and Joan Smith Eggemeyer.

Mr. Eggemeyer was a graduate of Richmond, Indiana High School and Ball State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and was All Mid-Conference Defense Tackle in football. He was Regional Sales Manager for Minolta Copiers in California and was a member of the Lultheran faith.

Survivors include a father, John M. Eggemeyer, Quincy; sister, Karen J. Brown and her husband Donald A. Quincy; 2 brothers, John M. EggemeyerIII and his wife Martha, Rancho Santa Fe, CA.; , Jeffrey M. Eggemeyer , Littleton, CO.; niece, Susan Rooney and her husband Dan, Edina, Minn.; 3 nephews, John M. IV (Matt) Eggemeyer and his wife Jennifer, Evanston, IL.; , twins Christopher C. Eggemeyer and Nicholas A. Eggemeyer, Rancho Santa Fe, Ca.; great nephew, Patric D. Rooney, Edina, Minn.; great niece, Macy S. Rooney, Edina, Minn.. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Friday, January 21, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. Thursday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to YMCA Youth Program or the Quincy Humane Society.

"I worked for Jim Eggemeyer at Minolta Business Systems in the City of Commerce California in 1986. I loved him dearly and learned a great deal under his leadership. I am so sad to learn of his passing and send my heartfelt condolences to his family."
