Florence M. Hollenstine, age 76, 638 Pawn Avenue, Quincy, died Friday, January 14, 2000 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
She was born April 7, 1923 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Albert F. Doellman and Katherine Schuette Doellman.
On March 31, 1951, she married Lyle Dean 'Bud' Hollenstine in Quincy, Il.. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1994.
Mrs. Hollenstine was a 1941 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1945 graduate of St. Mary Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a registered Nurse in 1988 while living in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Mrs. Hollenstine was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Elks Auxiliary, Republican Women's Club and Blessing Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include 2 sons Randall J. Hollenstine & his wife Kathryn, Canton, Michigan; , Rodney J. Hollenstine & his wife Roxanna, Springfield, Il.; 2 granddaughters, Rianna Lu Hollenstine Springfield, Il.; , Alexandra Marie Hollenstine, Canton, Michigan; 4 sisters, Ruth Teijido, Quincy, Il.; , Irene Doellman, Quincy, Il. Mary Kathryn Paul, Quincy, Il., Alvera Archibald, Centerville, Ohio; 2 brothers, George Doellman, Quincy, Il. , Paul Doellman, Durham,Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral Services will be Monday morning at 9:30A.M. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home and at 10 A.M. Monday, January 17, at the St. Peter's Cathollic Church, Rev. George Charnley officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8.P.M. Sunday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. A wake service will be conducted at the funeral home, Sunday evening at 6:30 P.M.
