In loving memory of

Larry Slaughter
June 21, 1960 - February 1, 2019

Larry Dean Slaughter of Waukee passed away peacefully at the age of 58. He was surrounded by family and friends. He was a member of the IBEW 347 since 1979, and worked faithfully for Baker Electric for over 30 years.
Those that knew Larry knew his larger than life smile, his love of Texas, Lone Star Beer, and of his plans to retire there. He enjoyed traveling with his family/friends, horseback riding along with camping in the back country, and working on his acreage. Larry spent many of his younger years coaching and involved in Waukee Little League with his sons..
Larry is survived by his wife Connie of 40 years, his two sons, Jon (Shauna) and Eric (Tabitha), and his three grandchildren, Caden, Macey, and June. He has four brothers David, Brian, Craig, and Scott, along with one sister, Carol. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin and mother, Lorraine.
Per Larry's request there will not be a funeral, but a celebration of his life service will be held on March 2, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Prairie Meadows in the Skinner Ballroom.
