"Sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather
Dick will be remembered as one of the true craftsmen that lived in the Ottumwa area. I had Dick repair a rare car part, and the metal work was so good it was chromed afterward. Harry Pierson always looked up to Ash, and had 100s of great Dick Ash stories. Harry said Dick was 5X faster than a mud slinging modern body man. Pierson said Dick could pound dents out fast and perfect. I always looked forward to seeing Dick at car events, or around town. Its been a few years since I had visited with him, but will remember him forever. I need to look for some pictures of him and the crew, circa 1980-1985.
