In loving memory of

Eugene Rasch
March 20, 1929 - March 7, 2016

Eugene Rasch, age 86 of Comstock Park passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes a leisurely country drive.

Born and raised in Wright Township, Gene served in the US Army and was instrumental in the early development and advancement of the Michigan Apple industry.

Gene loved life in all its forms and lived it fully with a generous and open heart.

He enjoyed travel, history, baseball, farm tours, the phone, and most of all, keeping up with his children and grandchildren.

Gene is best known by those dear to him for his giving nature, sharp mind and genuine interest in all people. While we will all miss his attentiveness, phone calls and shared wisdom, his love and zest for life will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his daughter, Therese, and is survived by his wife, Beverly; children Anne Marie, Mike (Lisa), Paul (Sara), Laurie, Margy (Rick), John (Misha), Jerry, Joanie (Kovida); 18 treasured grandchildren and one brother, Leo (Pat).

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 12 at Saint Michaels Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville. Family will gather from 10am 11am to share memories and celebrate Genes life with relatives and friends.

Gwendolyn Leake wrote on Jun 11, 2016:

"I am truly sorry to learn of your family's great loss. May the God of all comfort, comfort and sustain your family during this grievous time. God promises: 'He will swallow up death forever.' (Isaiah 25:8) May reflecting on the future fulfillment of these wonderful promises and what it will mean for the reunification of your family, bring you much comfort."
