William "Bill" Christy
January 4, 1947 - August 31, 2015

William Bill Christy of Marshalltown passed away on Monday August 31st at his home with his wife by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday September 4th, 2015 at the UAW Union Hall in Marshalltown at 11:00 AM.

Bill served in the United States Air Force from 1966 thru 1969. He retired in 2011 from MICA. He was also a founding member of Marshalltowns Sharon Avenue Gang.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Barbara Christy, his 7 children: Shawn Christy, Shane Christy, Denee Zietlow (Jerry Thorn), Kim Ladehoff (Mike), Sue Fahrenkrug (Jerry), Rhonda Chambers (Joe Clark) and Rob Chambers as well as his 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, his sisters Violet Blakey (George) and Joyce Burton, his brother-in-law James Nichols (Joyce) as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Wilda Christy and Louis Neff and his sister Martha Nichols.

Celebrate Life Iowa was entrusted with the cremation care of Bill.
