"So sad to lose my genealogy pal. Donna and I met online when I still lived in California. We shared a love of genealogy and researching our Burtlow family. We schlepped through cemeteries when I would visit Des Moines and after I moved back here and spent hours on the phone talking about our ancestors. We were together when we found William Burtlow's grave and were so happy! I take comfort knowing that she is now getting to meet William and the others and that they were waiting for her! Donna Lee Carrick, 69 of Bayard passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa. Per her wishes she will be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.
