Theresa "Teri" Taylor
March 9, 1934 - December 21, 2014

Theresa Teri Taylor, 80 of Des Moines, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Unity Church of Des Moines, 414 31st, at 2pm. Burial in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery will be at a later date.



Teri was born on March 9, 1934 to Napoleon and Eva (LaRiviere) Trudell in Burlington, Vermont. She attended school in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School. Following school Teri joined the Air Force and served her country during the Korean Conflict. Once returning home from the war she attended Business College and received a skilled trade diploma. Teri married John Taylor and the couple raised their family in Des Moines. Teri was a member of Unity Church of Des Moines, Lions Club, and several organizations for the blind. She had a great love for her family, spending time with her grandchildren, socializing, making new friends, playing cards with her card group, cooking, and knitting.



Those left to cherish her loving memories are her children Peg (Ed) Froehle of Des Moines, IA, Sandra (Leslie) Harryman of Harrisburg, MO, and John Chris Taylor of Aurelia, IA; grandchildren, Tim Froehle, Mary Froehle, Sara Froehle, and Emily Harryman; brother Robert (Theresa) Trudell of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.



Teri was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, brothers Edmund, Norman, Bernard, and Paul Trudell, her sisters Pauline Trudell, Sister Claire Burgoyne, and Sister Margaret Trudell.



Memorial contributions may be directed to Unity of Des Moines or a childrens charity of choice.



Celebrate Life Iowa has been entrusted with the care of Teri and her family.
