James Gardner
August 14, 1960 - November 20, 2014

James Jimmy Gardner, 54 of Story City passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 unexpectedly while at work. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 1-3 pm at the Fredregill Funeral Home located at 310 North Center Street in Zearing, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at 3 pm at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at a later date in the Story City Cemetery.



James Lee Gardner was born in Carroll, Iowa on August 14, 1960 to Dale and Ruby (McCray) Gardner. After high school Jimmy relocated to Virginia and married Elois Jones and to this union one son was born. He had a great love for Iowa and relocated home following his divorce. Jimmy had a great passion for farming and working the land with his gardening talent, animals, eating, and spending time with his family.



Those left to cherish is memories are his son James Lee Gardner II; brother Dean (Teresa) Gardner; sister Donna (Steven) Keiler; uncle Bobby Gardner; nephews Anthony and Zachary Gardner, and Steven Keiler Jr.; nieces Cythia, Kelly, and Christina Keiler; and many friends.



He was preceded in death by his parent.
