Lloyd H. Clark age 84 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Wednesday evening January 52005.0 at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa Iowa following a lengthy illness.
A Celebration of His Life will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday January 82005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa with Rev. Pamela Schroeder of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa Iowa officiating. Visitation will be held from Noon until 2 P.M. service time on Saturday January 82005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery Maquoketa Iowa where full military rites will be conducted by the Maquoketa American Legion Post #75 Maquoketa VFW Post #3633 O'Connor-Regenwether & the Andrew AMVETS Post #75.
Lloyd H. Clark was born on August 20 1920 in Davenport Iowa to Howard Clark and Alvena (Isbell) Clark. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army earning the rank of sergeant serving from June of 1942 until being honorably discharged on August 26 1945. He married Barbara Donielson on November 22 1946 in Maquoketa Iowa.
Lloyd worked in the construction business all of his life and late in his career he contracted with the City of Maquoketa's water and sewer departments for several years.
Lloyd was a lifetime member of the Maquoketa American Legion Post #75 and a member of the Maquoketa VFW Post #3633 O'Connor-Regenwether. He loved to play golf and going fishing at Bellevue Iowa on the Mississippi River.
Lloyd is survived by: his wife- Barbara Clark of Maquoketa IA; a daughter- Carol(Mrs. Merlyn) Yeager of Maquoketa IA; 3 grandsons- Jay Dave & Mike Yeager; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Howard Sonny Clark of Maquoketa IA & Allen(Norma) Clark of Maquoketa IA; & numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents 1 granddaughter in infancy 1 brother- Dillon & 2 sisters- Freida Marie Seiler & Bernadine Heinzel Starr on October 22 2004.
A Lloyd H. Clark Memorial Fund has been established.
