June 20, 1977 - December 17, 2004

Robert Kelley Tackett Jr. age 27 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Friday evening December 172004.0 as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident 1 mile north of Maquoketa on Hurstville Road.



A Celebration of His Life will be held at 7 P.M. Wednesday December 222004.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday December 222004.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Graveside Services and Burial will be held on Thursday December 232004.0 from the Mount Pleasant Cemetery rural Zalma Missouri.



Robert Kelley Tackett Jr. was born on June 20 1977 in Oran Missouri to Robert K. Tackett Sr. and Janice Summers. He was a 1995 graduate of Zalma Missouri High School. He then entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served for three years earning an honorable discharge.



Kelley moved back to Maquoketa after his military service and had worked for Phillips Service Corporation in Camanche Iowa as an operator for the past three years until present.



Kelley was a member of the Izaak Walton League in Maquoketa and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting fishing motorcycles listening to music and playing pool.



Kelley is survived by: his mother- Janice Bell of Maquoketa IA; his father & step-mother- Robert K. Tackett Sr. & Katie Tackett of Sturdivent MO; his paternal grandmother- Ruby Tackett of Sturdivent MO; 3 half-brothers- Anthony Bell of Maquoketa IA R.D. Tackett of Sturdivent MO Robbie Tackett of Sturdivent MO; 1 step-brother- Eric Urlich of Sturdivent MO; 1 half-sister- Danielle Tackett of Sturdivent MO; his girlfriend- Charla Waite of Maquoketa IA; & many aunts uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.



A Robert Kelley Tackett Jr. Memorial Fund has been established.
