One was that she always had a smile. The second was that though she may be short in stature she was big in heart. I know that is some way I am a better person for having known her."

Randy Dvorak wrote on Dec 12, 2004:

"My deepest sympathies to the entire Lane family. I only met Mrs. Lane once but I wish I had gotten the opportunity to know her. I have had the opportunity to get to know her son Ken over the past several years while working together in DeWitt. I am sure the admirable qualities that I see regularly in Ken were a direct influence of his parents. I hope that you may find comfort in knowing that she will live on in this manner. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the services but I wanted to pass on my condolences and let you know I am thinking of you in your time of grief."
