Owen Andrew Mundt, 13, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was born on March 1, 2004 to Andy and Julie (Peterson) Mundt. Owen was currently an 8th grader at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran School. He loved school and The Word of God. He was on the St. John's Rockets basketball team and enjoyed playing baseball and softball. Owen also loved deer hunting, gopher trapping, jumping on the trampoline, helping on the farm, wrestling with his brothers, and anything that had to do with sports.
Owen will be greatly missed by his parents, Andy and Julie; brothers, Evan and Orion; grandparents, Lynn Mundt and Bruce and Marilyn Boynton; great-grandma, Avys Boynton; aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Brent) Ruhoff, Janelle (Jon Garcia) Peterson, Jeremy Peterson, Casey (Erica) Mundt, Lynda (Ken )Troke, Lisa (Jason) Hoover, Curt (Tara) Mundt, Deena (Lee) Rain, Dawn (Jay) Staudacher, Todd Boynton; cousins, Maddy, Cole, Georgia, Gracie, Tanner, Sam, Dylan, Wesley, Marshal, Camden, Adelynn, Max, Miles, Meela, Monroe, Gabby, Collin, Cody, Camryn, Brandon, Christian, and Ellie; and his 4-legged companion, Jack.
He is preceded in death by his grandpas, Larry Peterson and Larry Mundt; uncle, Joey Mundt; and great-grandparents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston with Reverend Michael Lindemann and Reverend Paul Kuckhahn officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2018 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Worth Cemetery.
