"Dear Beth and family, I have such fond memories of being with Helen and Hearl on the sheep farm in Canton. I loved sleeping in your canopy bed and spending days at the farm with them. I met Helen when I went back to Bradley in 1971. She sat next to me at Orientation and we were friends ever since. Helen was such a blessing and I was most fortunate to have met her, which then led to my meeting Hearl. I have so many fond memories of my time with them! Hearl teaching me to play golf, showing me his garden and just the wonderful conversations we would have at meal time. His homemade applesauce too! Words cannot express how much you and your family mean to me. I still miss Helen to this very day and I always will. I am grateful that Helen and Hearl are together again and I believe that they are smiling down on all of us now. We now have two angels looking after us. Much love, Mary Ann"

"From what I remember, Dad was quite the task master in his Ag class. The one day he had to have me tag along, he meant business in all to pay attention. lol... He did love to hunt, too. AND, we all loved the quail when he brought them home for dinner. Thank you for your note, so much appreciated. Sincerely, Beth Chapman and the Bishop Family"

"Thank you, Marcia. When I was in fifth grade, was when I remember dad going to Ridgeway. All I remembered was him being hired as Asst. Principal. :D Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to research thoroughly. All I remember is Dan going to school over at Ridgeway, which seemed quircky to me at the time. But thanks for the information, much appreciated ~ His sister, Beth"

"Danny I was a classmate of yours at Ridgway High. Saw your dad's obit yesterday. Sorry for your loss. Your name came up and we had no way to find you for our 50 year class reunion at Ridgway. Your dad was the principal at Ridgway High in 1960-61 and in 1961-62 and he was superintendent in 1962-63. He may have been an assistant principal before that but I went to New Haven and do not have the Ridgway yearbooks from elementary school. I checked the yearbooks to get this information. The picture you used looks exactly like his yearbook picture. You were blessed to have him for such a long time. Blessings to you and your family. Marcia McGuire Allen"
