Imogene Theresa Studer was born October 8, 1921, in Wesley, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Vanderah) Neuroth. She grew up in the area and attended country school before going to Wesley High School, where she graduated in 1939. After her schooling she did domestic work for some individuals in the Wesley area.

On April 28, 1942, Imogene was united in marriage to Nate Studer in Wesley, Iowa. After their marriage she worked various jobs in the Wesley area, at the café and golf course. She sold Avon for 25 years until the age of 86. She enjoyed being around people, cooking, gardening and flowers. Imogene was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph's Parish.

Imogene died on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa. She was 86.

She is survived by her children, Mike and Debra Studer of Wesley; Mary and Glen Thilges of Kansas City, MO; Dale and Anita Studer of Creston; Wayne and Janene Studer of Wesley; Craig and Michele Studer of Wesley; daughters-in-law, Anne Studer of Wesley and Cathy Studer of Arenzville, IL; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nate; sons, Richard and Tom Studer; brothers, Ed, Urban, Laurence and Zeno Neuroth; sisters, Loretta and Alberta Grant.
