Sylvia L. Tindall

Sylvia Jane Tindall was born October 23, 1935, in Ravenna, Ohio to Kenneth and Lois (Moon) Lottick. After living in several parts of the United States, Sylvia graduated from high school in Portland, Oregon, and earned a two year degree from Franklin College in Indiana. She was working in Orlando, Florida when she met and married Oscar Tindall on October 2, 1955. The couple then moved to Corwith and farmed. Three sons were born to this union.

Sylvia was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Corwith where she was church secretary, member of the Women's Circle, taught Sunday school as well as Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she was past President. Sylvia enjoyed playing cards, gambling junkets, volunteering at the Library and reading, socializing with friends and making people laugh. She and Oscar enjoyed traveling. She was an Avon Representative but most of all, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Sylvia became a resident of the Westview Care Center in Britt in November, 2004, and died there on Sunday evening, July 16, 2006, at the age of 70.

Survivors include her three sons, Kenneth and wife Jana of Aurora, Illinois, Charles of Corwith and David and wife Connie of Algona as well as five grandchildren, Derek, Hannah, Dustin, Devin and Andrew. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and husband Oscar in May, 2001.
