Laura Helen Burkhart

Laura Helen Burkhart was born on February 21, 1924, at Bancroft, Iowa, to Joe and Nesa Johnson Kline. She received her education at the German Township Country School near Titonka. On June 12, 1945, Laura was married to Werner Burkhart at the Ramsey Reformed Church. The couple lived for 1 ½ years in Hartley, Iowa. They moved back to the Titonka area and lived and farmed on Laura's parents' farm for the next 60 years.
Laura was a member of the Ramsey Reformed Church, where she was active in the Cradle Roll Committee and the Ladies' Group.
Laura died on Monday, May 15, 2006, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Bancroft, Iowa, where she had been a resident for a short time. She was 82.
Laura is survived by her husband, Werner of Titonka, Iowa and her children; Vernon Burkhart and wife, Pat, Armstrong, Iowa, Verlus Burkhart and wife, Sharon, Fairmont, Minnesota, Arvin Burkhart and wife, Sharon, Algona, Iowa, Muriel Burkhart, Blue Earth, Minnesota and Arlyn Burkhart and wife, Patti, Dolliver, Iowa. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, George and Joseph Kline.
