Steve, Tiffaney, Sondra & Mar Stork

A funeral Mass for Stephen Stork, 55, and his three daughters, Tiffany, 26, Sondra, 24, and Marcie, 17 all of Pequot Lakes, MN, formerly of Bancroft, Iowa was held Saturday, January 28 at St. John's Catholic Church, Bancroft, IA. Burial was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

STEPHEN FREDERICK STORK was born to Frank and Margaret (Mulligan) Stork on November 12, 1950 at Boone, Iowa and grew up on his family's farm near Bancroft, Iowa. He graduated from St. John's High School and then attended Iowa State University. Steve served his country as an Army tank commander during the Vietnam War and then returned to Bancroft and began farming. He was united in marriage to Leslie Frohling on July 22, 1978 in Belmond, Iowa. Steve loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved farming, car racing, and mechanics. He loved people and will be fondly remembered by many for his work with the VFW, the American Legion, and the Pork Producers. Most of all, Steve loved his family. For each day of his life, he was a devoted and caring husband and father.
On January 23, 2006, Steve died in a fire at his home near Pequot Lakes, Minnesota where his family had moved in 2000. Three of his children, Tiffaney, Sondra, and Marcie also perished in this fire. Steve is survived by his wife Leslie, a son Jonathan, and a daughter Kathleen. Also surviving are his parents, Frank and Margaret Stork; six brothers, John (Jennifer), Francis (Susan), Thomas (Julie), Anthony (Sandra), Patrick, and Matthew (Jody); his sister Rosemary Donahoe (Terry); and parents-in-law, Eugene and Ardith Frohling.

TIFFANEY MARIE STORK was born on August 24, 1979 at Algona, Iowa. She grew up on her parents' farm near Bancroft and graduated from Buffalo Center High School. Tiffaney then attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake graduating in 2003. She was a very social, energetic and creative young woman who loved all children and people and was a great and loving daughter, sister, and friend. She was currently employed at Bethany Good Samaritan Nursing Home as a Registered Nurses Assistant.

SONDRA KAY STORK was born on February 23, 1981 at Algona, Iowa. She grew up on her parents' farm near Bancroft and graduated from Woden-Crystal Lake High School. Sondra then attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake graduating in 2003. Sondra was a quiet, kind, caring individual and was very artistic. She loved to bake and read and loved her pet cats. She was a great and loving daughter, sister, and friend. Sondra had dreams of going back to college for her teaching degree in History.

MARCIE ELIZABETH STORK was born on December 18, 1988 at Algona, Iowa. She grew up on her parents' farm near Bancroft until the family moved to Pequot Lakes, Minnesota in 2000. Marcie was a junior at Pequot Lakes High School. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, and friend. Marcie had a great sense of humor. She was very energetic and loved to run and bake - she was her classes' cookie provider. Marcie was an A+ student and her dreams were to be a Math Professor or an Architect.
Tiffany, Sondra, and Marcie are survived by their mother Leslie, a brother Jonathan, and a sister Kathleen. Also surviving are their paternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret Stork; their maternal grandparents, Eugene and Ardith Frohling; their maternal great-grandmother, Gertie Frohling, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial fund for the Stork family has been established at the Farmers and Traders Savings Bank, P.O. Box 107, Bancroft, Iowa 50517.
