Pamela Sue Brandt

Pamela Sue Brandt was born April 12, 1962 at Belmond, Iowa to John and Jacqueline (Gerdis) VanHove. Pam grew up and attended school at Kanawha where she developed her hard working skills with starting a paper route at age eight. This is where she also meant the most amazing friend someone could wish for Jeanette Smith. The years passed and Pam moved to Titonka where she met her true love Rodney Brandt. The couple married in Algona on November 19, 1991. Pam has worked many places in Titonka as well as at the Value Added Center in Forest City. She was passionate about her family, music, animals, and enjoyed reading with her favorite author being Danielle Steel. She truly loved life and always put everyone else first.
Pam has been with Hospice of North Iowa since July of 2005 and the Lake Mills Care Center battling lung and brain cancer. Pam passed away early Friday morning, December 23, 2005, at the age of 43 at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband Rod Brandt of Titonka, daughter Malinda Sue Olson of Urbandale, Iowa and Christopher Peter Olson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa as well as her parents John and Jacqueline Van Hove of Kanawha, two nephews, four nieces and brother Jim Van Hove of Carroll, Iowa, and sister Laurie Christians and husband Mike of Kanawha, Iowa. Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Dora Brandt, nephew Jon Van Hove and Aunt Sandy.
