Susan Jean Purcell, 36, of Fort Dodge formerly of Algona, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Fort Dodge.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church, Algona, with the Reverend Kevin Hollinger officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Algona.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 today (Thursday) at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Algona and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Susan Jean Purcell was born August 7, 1969 in Algona, daughter of Jack Francis and Doris Jean (Rehfeldt) Purcell. She grew up in Algona and attended Algona Schools. Susan enjoyed working as a Certified Nurses Assistant at several local nursing homes and also nursing homes in the Des Moines area. She loved being with her family especially her son, Alex. Susan enjoyed reading and shopping.
She is survived by her son Alex Little of Rockling, CA; her parents, Jack and Doris Purcell of Algona; one sister, Deb Brody and her husband Steve of Stockton, MO; three brothers, Dan Purcell and his wife Shawn of West Des Moines, Tom Purcell and his wife Joni of West Des Moines, and Jim Purcell and his wife Kristin of Colorado Springs, CO; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Jaeanette Rehfeldt and Everett and Dorothy Purcell; and two nephews Jack and Zachary Purcell.
