Irvington - Leo M. "Red" Elmore, 81, of Irvington, died Monday, August 22, 2005, at his home.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Algona, led by Howard Omdahl of the Algona VFW.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home and will continue on Friday prior to the funeral.
Leo Martin Elmore was born January 27, 1924, in Algona, son of James Martin and Jessie (Lauitison) Elmore. He was united in marriage to Maxine Mae Robinson on March 20, 1953, in Sioux Falls, SD.
He is survived by his wife Maxine of Irvington; one son, Donald Moore and his wife Nancy, Appleton, WI; a granddaughter, Sabrina Koldeway and her husband Jason, Oshkosh, WI; one brother, Earl Elmore and his wife Carol, Algona; two sisters, Ruth Ann Barillas and her husband Mario, Des Moines, and Mildred Boeckholt, Algona; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Charles, Merle, Verle and James.
