Roger Leo Fox

Roger Leo Fox was born May 24, 1943, in Lone Rock, Iowa, the son of Leo and Matie Graham Fox. He grew up in the Lone Rock area and attended school in Lone Rock and at Sentral before the family moved to LuVerne the summer of his senior year. He graduated from LuVerne High School in 1961. After his schooling Roger went to work construction for Bennie Wibben.

On November 18, 1961, Roger was united in marriage to Suzanne Wibben at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona. After their marriage the couple lived in Algona. Roger continued to work construction and in the past has worked for Barco Development Company and Cook and Davis Construction. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, being around people, his horses, hunting, fishing and his dog. Roger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, as well as, the Seneca Saddle Club and the Rendezvous Club.

Roger died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at his home in Algona, at the age of 62.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Algona, Iowa; children Robin and Richard Phillips of Titonka, Iowa; Troy and Dawn Fox of Fenton, Iowa; Raechel Fox and Kelly Goosmann of Titonka, Iowa; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters; Richard and Barbara Fox of Algona, Iowa; Bev and Milton Farrow of Algona, Iowa; Russell and Charlene Fox of Ainsworth, Nebraska; Larry Fox of Algona, Iowa; Margaret and Marvin Heide of Duluth, Minnesota; Marlene and Dennis Rolling of Bancroft, Iowa; sister-in-law, Ramona Fox of Peoria, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Ann Wyatt and Rozella Hurlburt and a brother, George Fox.
