In loving memory of

William J. "Bill" Foertsch
November 30, -0001

William John "Bill" Foertsch was born on October 28, 1923, at Wesley, Iowa, to William and Theresia (Wirth) Foertsch. Bill attended St. Joseph's Parochial School in Wesley. He lived with his sister, Rosemary and brother John. They farmed for many years west of Wesley. Bill retired in 1985, at the age of 62. They moved into Wesley in 1987.
Bill was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wesley. He loved to play cards, fish, garden and watch his game shows. He especially enjoyed his great nephew, Adam Foertsch, who lived with them for a few years. Bill, John and Rosie's home was often filled with nieces and nephews, who would come to stay. Whatever the children would play, Bill always joined in the fun. He liked to give the kids rides on his four wheeler. They would often celebrated special occasions with hand churned ice cream and maybe a sip of Bill's homemade wine.
Bill passed away on Monday, May 9, 2005, at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. He was 81.
