Connie J. Krominga was born June 29, 1952 at Britt, Iowa to Dennis and Rose (Kollasch) Haverly. Connie grew up on a farm north of Wesley and graduated from Titonka High School in 1971. She then was married to Kent Krominga. She was a stay at home Mom until her children were in school. She then worked at the hardware store in Titonka until it closed. She was attending Iowa Lake Community College in Algona until last September when illness forced her to quit.
Connie loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed her flowers.
Connie died at her home on Monday, April 5, 2004 at the age of 51.
Survivors include her daughters, Deanna Heidt and husband Steve of Titonka; Regina Prentice and husband Tom of Titonka; Marcie Krominga and friend Jason of Titonka; and Katie Frerichs and husband Dan of Titonka. Also surviving are six grandchildren; her parents, Dennis and Rose Haverly of Wesley, four sisters, Jeanne Conway and husband Kevin of Urbandale, Iowa; Shirley Felten and husband Ron of Maquoketa, Iowa; Donna Witte and husband Steve of Britt, Iowa and Debbie Gossman of Forest City, Iowa as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents and Aunt Betty Bode.
