Ruth E. Brandt, 76 of Lewiston died Monday morning, July 10th at Lake Winona Manor. Ruth was born February 22, 1941 in Winona to Alfred P. and Evelyn C. (Lanz) Brandt. She attended St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from Lewiston High School. Ruth lived on the family farm in Utica Township, east of Lewiston. She lived in the Watkins Home for 2 ½ years before entering Lake Winona Manor in May of this year. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society of Lewiston. Ruth enjoyed making beautiful pieces of art with her interest in quilling.
Survivors include her sister Doris (Duane) Fruechte of Trempeleau, WI and her uncle Raymond (Phyllis) Lanz of Winona. She was preceded in death by a brother Raymond and her parents.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13th at St. John's Church in Lewiston with the Reverends Michael A. Lindeman and Paul Kuckhahn officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
