"To my dearest friend, Kaylyn, and her family. My sympathies to all of you on the loss of a wonderful father & grandfather. The memories I have of Shorty are fond ones growing up and spending days and days at your house growing up. There are not too many fathers that would let their teenage daughter and her friends take his shiny black cadilac and drive it all over the country side on a Saturday night. With love and hugs always. Sheri (Meyer) VonFeldt"

"Your Dad and I went back a long way. We always had such a good time at school together. I usually was at school early and he would be by the janitor room and I'd say How are you doing? "If I would be any better, I'd be perfect." He used to tell me not to smart off because he knew me since I was born- his family lived just down the hill from us. And of course who could forget all the news he got from "Yankton". I am sending my sympathy to each of you. I hope to get to visitation, but sometimes when I am on chemo- I run out of zip. God bless you all and you are in my prayers."
