Doris Hagedorn, age 72 of Blue Earth, MN passed away Sunday January 26, 2014 at her home.
Memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday February 1 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Pastor Wes Hafner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.
Doris Marie was born January 4, 1942 in Elmore, MN, the daughter of Arthur and Anne (Manthie) Brandt. She attended grade school in rural Elmore and graduated from Elmore High School in 1959.
Doris married Robert “Bob” Hagedorn on June 1, 1962 at which time they moved to Blue Earth. They were blessed with two sons, Jason and Travis.
Doris worked at the Faribault County Extension Office for 34 years. During this time she also worked several part time jobs. When retiring from the Extension Office she worked for Nelson Realty as office manager. She then worked at Olson Nelson Realty as office manager, where she was currently employed.
Doris is survived by her two sons, Jason (Nicole) of Blue Earth, MN and Travis (DeAnn) of Kasson, MN, five grandchildren, Caleb and Kyle Hagedorn of Blue Earth, MN, Chelsey, Ashley and Shelbey Hagedorn of Kasson, MN, sisters Velda (Wardden) Smidt of Titonka, IA and RoseLyn Pearson of Crosslake, MN, brother Robert Brandt of Litchfield, MN, sister-in-law Rose Hagedorn of Blue Earth, brother-in-law James Meyers of Weeki-Wachee, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anne Brandt, father and mother-in-law, August and Mary Hagedorn, husband Bob in 2004, sisters Marjorie Vereide and Marlene Meyers, brother, Arlo Brandt, brothers-in-law Walter Vereide, Mark Pearson and Donald Hagedorn.
