Jeffrey A. Schurbon
December 4, 1960 - January 29, 2016

Jeffrey A. Schurbon passed away on Friday January 29, 2016 in Billings, Montana from complications during surgery.

Jeff was born December 4, 1960 in Maquoketa, Iowa to John and Arlene (Jurgensen) Schurbon. After graduating from Maquoketa High School he moved to Russell, Kansas. Jeff briefly worked drilling winter wheat and working in a factory that produced manufactured homes before he began working in the oil industry. He then moved to Gillette, Wyoming to continue working in the oil industry. After working at Northern Production for many years he joined the SM Energy family.

Jeff enjoyed working on projects around his house and especially enjoyed working on landscaping projects. In recent years he was able to fulfill his dream of owning muscle cars. His first purchase was a 1969 Mach 1 red mustang. He went on to purchase and restore a 1972 Gran Torino - the same model that was his first car in high school.

Jeff is survived by his daughter Rebecca Schurbon of Lakewood, CO;
brothers, James of Maquoketa, IA; Randy (Bobbie deceased) of Wilmington, DE;
John of , Aurora, IL; sisters, Julie (Tim deceased) Dzekunskas of Moline IL; Barb
(JR) Johns of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and
grandparents.

A gathering of family and friends celebrating Jeff's life will be held from 1 to 3 P.M. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 in "The Bistro" at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Memorial services were previously held in Wyoming.
