Louise Neyers
January 1, 1900 - August 28, 2003

      ROLLINGSTONE, MINN. - Louise A. Neyers, 96, of Rollingstone, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Lake Winona Manor; where she had been a resident since May 2003.
      She was born June 15, 1907, in Chicago, Ill. to Andrew and Amelia (Bonk) Serwa. The eldest of 10 children. She married Henry Neyers Sr., July 19, 1927, in Winona.
      Together Hank and Louise farmed in Rupprecht?s Valley in Rollingstone. Louise worked at the Turkey plant in Altura, the Oaks in Minnesota City, Rollingstone School cafeteria and at Sauer Memorial Home (in housekeeping) for 20 some years.
      She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone and their Rosary Society and Ladies Aid Group.
      Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Betty Neyers of Goodview; grandchildren: Dave (Sandy) Symicek of Ellsworth, Wis., Karen (Chuck) Bleess of Goodview, Sandy (Bill) Niemeyer of Rollingstone, Jo (Joe) Poncelet of Goodhue, Sue (Al) Harper of Green Valley Ill., Pam Gaddy of Fayetteville, NC, Bonnie Neyers Bennett of Winona, Penny Herber of Minnesota City, Tim (Rocky) Neyers of Minnesota City, Paul (Lana) Neyers of Utica, Minn., and Amy (Dean) Stanek of Goodview; 29 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Giardini of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; one brother, Wally Serwa of Lake Winona Manor; three sisters-in-law: Gert Serwa, Delpha Serwa and Ann Serwa; and many nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sr., one son, Henry (Sonny) Neyers Jr., one daughter, Barbara and her husband Al Symicek; one grandson, Billy Neyers and one granddaughter, Kayla Symicek.
      A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with the Msgr. Roy Literski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church where there will be a 7:30 p.m Rosary. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
      Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Russ, Andy and Chuck Speltz, Jamie and Jody Niemeyer and Nate Huelskamp. Honorary pallbearers will be the rest of her great-grandsons, Curtis Carr, Ryan Neyers, Brandon Stanek, Logan and Gavin Herber and Matt Symicek.
