"Bruce, Cheryl and families,
I always remember your mother for all the sewing she would do for my mom and myself. It seems as if we were always over to your house getting fitted for some garment she was making for one of us. Also, all the neighborhood tea party our mothers use to put on after, of course, their spring cleaning. Your mother was a very good friend of my mother.
I'm sure all the neighborhood ladies are having their Spring Tea parties, again.
I''m sorry I didn't get to the wake or funeral. But, I didn't know about it until everything was over with. Our Deepest Sympathy, Mary Kay

"Upon our return from Califronia where we spend winter months with our children, I received the Lewiston Journal and read of the passing of "Babe". I remember "Babe" well as a friend of my parents, Webster and Marcella Fischer and as an employee at Security State Bank. I also remember her for her sewing and especially making buttonholes. As a former member of St John's I remember her as a dedicated member.
Our sympathy to you and your family"

"Dear Cheryl,
I was sad to hear of your Mom's passing. My thoughts return to the times we would drive to Lewiston to have dinner with your parents years ago. Among all of your Mom's great gifts, she was great cook and wonderful seamstress, and most of all a very kind lady. My thoughts are with you and your family.

"Dear Cheryl and Bruce, I was sad to hear of your Mom's passing. My memories of her go back to when we were all kids and I used to spend time at Fred and Lorris' in the summer. I will be thinking of you all in the days ahead. She was very special and will be missed dearly as are all of her siblings, especially my Uncle Fred, her brother. The Bode's were also at Fred & Lorris' alot - it was a great place to spend time and play in the hay mow, ride bikes, play with the cats, etc."

"Cheryl and Bruce and families,
How I wish we were able to be there for your mom's funeral. Babe was my one remaining sponsor, and when Lisa informed us of her imminent death, we were hoping she might linger until we would be in Lewiston next week. We will be on our way back to CO from Barre, VT, where I've been serving a vacancy in a congregation here since the beginning of December. But the Lord had other plans -- much better plans for your mom!
We had stopped to visit her in Winona last September. Don't know if she knew us or not, but we had a pleasant visit. Will miss her pleasant smile and pleasant ways, but she is so much better off now with her Savior.
Had hoped to be able to see the two of you, my cousins, too! It's been a long time -- especially since I've seen you, Bruce!
May the Lord comfort you with His Word at your loss and remind you to look forward to a joyful reunion in heaven through the same faith in Jesus your mom had.
Doug & Chip"

"I will miss Babe very, very much. And, will miss spending time with her talking about family. She had a lot of spunk, would always speak her mind-taught me a lot. She had a big heart and showed genuine interest and concern for those in her life. I feel blessed to have known her and her family!"

"You can be so proud of Minnie. She was a great person. I use to work at Security State Bank where she did cleaning. She always made your day.
Minnie had a glow about herself with her big smile, friendly chat and made everyone feel special. Minnie was a hard worker, kind, caring, considerate and always had time to say hi. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. You can rest assured she is in heaven chatting with everyone around her. God blessed us for being able to know her."

"I always enjoyed your Mother. She went along with me to stained glass classes in St Charles.
We both learned the basics of stained glass, and had a great time visiting and having a night out.
I will miss her gentle ways.
My sympathy to all of you, it is comforting to know she has received her crown of life!"
