CONESVILLE, Iowa--Joyce Elizabeth Abbott, 87, of Conesville, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015, at Pioneer Park in Lone Tree.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Nichols' Christian Church in Nichols. Burial will take place in Conesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at the church. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangement.
Joyce was born on November 19, 1927, in Nichols, the daughter of J. Raymond and Marie H. Ryan Borgstadt. She graduated from Nichols High School. On June 9, 1946, Joyce was united in marriage to Charles Keith Abbott in Nichols.
She was a homemaker and worked by her husband's side on the family farm. She was a member of the Nichols' Christian Church where she taught Sunday school, C.W.F. and was a 4H Leader.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her children, Candace Dusenberry of Tipton, Cindy and Randy Ridge of New Boston, Illinois, Dennis and Nita Abbott of Conesville, and Brian and Linda Abbott of Nichols; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith in 2005; a son-in-law, Keith Dusenberry; two brothers, Robert and William; and two sisters, Loretta and Ferne.
