"Jordan was one of the sweetest boys I have ever had the opportunity to know. He always made me smile! I am so very sorry for your family. I will keep you in my prayers. "
Jordan Royster Hanson of Duncombe, son of Daryl and Kellie (Royster) Hanson and brother to Courtney Sogard, passed away suddenly on June 13, 2014, with one of his dearest friends, Geri Winge, at his side.
He was 21 years and 10 days old. A time for family and friends to gather and share memories will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date with family. Jordan was born at 10:58 a.m. June 3, 1993 at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge.
He had a love for watches, timers, alarm clocks, tape measures, and thermometers. He loved road trips and stopping at Casey's to see his friends, daily if possible. He had a long list of family and friends that he would call daily to share his day with, even sometimes several times a day. For all their love and patience they all had for our precious boy, we will be forever grateful.
He touched so many hearts in his short life.
His sister, Courtney and Matt Sogard were married the day after his passing. God needed to bring his son back home but made sure we were surrounded by love. We were able to celebrate the beginning of a new life for our daughter as well as rejoice in the many blessings we were given, when God chose our family to share Jordan.
Jordan is survived by his parents; sister; grandmother, Fern Slaikeu of Goldfield; grandmother, Anne Royster of Duncombe; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lynn Hanson; Charles Royster: and Paul Slaikeu.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

"My thoughts and prayers are with all of Jordan's family as he was part of our "family" in Des Moines. Jordan was the ONLY person who called me every single day and it was something I so enjoyed and looked forward to! He kept me on my toes and up to date on several things including days until his birthday and watch sales at Walmart. I will never forget his giggle and his love of life. He had a contagious personality that will for sure be missed by all!"
"Jordan there is so much in our childhoods we shared and our family shared I'm going to miss our trips to Des Moines every six months to go our doc. Ill miss time and temp calls, the creak of the swing set in the spring am summer. I always enjoyed hearing you sing a song and we would have to guess what it is. To be related and grow up with you is something I will always hold close to my heart love you a whole bunch jordo "

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hanson/Royster families during this difficult time. Dawn and Cliff Mickelson "
"I can still remember how much Jordan loved to ride in the combine in fall with Chuck. He will be missed. Our thoughts got out to the family in this sad time. Adam & Heather Royster"
"His Dad was visiting my classroom. I showed him how we helped Jordan not play in the sink as he loved the water. I put a colored piece of construction paper by the sink. Jordan knew that color meant not to play in the sink. Dad said, "Do you think it would work on the fridge?" Jordan was a foodie!! I have so many memories from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Rhonda Pingenot and Molly Breedlove were so good with Jordan. My heart breaks for his Mom, Dad and sister. Mary Minnehan"
