Illah M. Bueoy, 97, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Marian Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:30 PM Monday June 9th in the Chapel at the Marian Home, 2400 6th Avenue North Fort Dodge, with Pastor Allen Henderson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Marian Home.
Illah is survived by her son, R. George (Debbie) Bueoy of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Tyrrell of Okoboji, IA; Bonita Bodin of Morrestown, TN; Genevieve (Mike) Hemmingway of Elizabeth, CO; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Payne of Fort Dodge; Pauline Stine of OK; Marilyn Giacomelli of Fort Dodge; brother, Bruce Pingel of Fort Dodge; sister-in-laws, Lois Pingel and Ardene Pingel, both of Fort Dodge.
Illah was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bueoy; parents, George and Edith (Floyd) Pingel; brothers, Vern Pingel & Merlin Pingel; a son-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law.
Illah Mae Pingel was born May 5, 1917 in Fort Dodge. She attended Fort Dodge schools, graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High. On June 16, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ralph V. Bueoy, and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. In 1960, Illah and Ralph moved to Denver Colorado, until Ralph retired in 1982. The couple then lived in Apache Junction Arizona. Illah returned to Fort Dodge in 2007. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and playing cribbage.
Memorials may be left to the Marian Home or to Hospice of Fort Dodge.
