Nancy M. Foster was born on July 22, 1926 in Crook, County of Durham, England. She attended schools and later went to Cosmetology School and Secretary School. During WWII Nancy met Delph Hruska while he was serving with the 8th Air Force in England. They dated and fell in love. On October 7, 1944, they were united in marriage in Costessey, England. After the war ended the couple moved to the United States and established their home in Fort Dodge. Here, the couple raised their children, who were the pride and joy of their lives. Nancy took great pride in caring for her home both inside and out. She also enjoyed her friends and loved to entertain. On April 7, 1961, she became a United States Citizen. It also was a great joy for her and Delph to travel. Nancy was employed with Land-O-Lakes and retired in 1976.
Nancy loved her church and faith. She was a very active member of Holy Rosary Church. She served as the church secretary for many years, sang in the choir, was a lector and Eucharistic minister, member of the rosarians, and was involved with prayer groups and bible study. Nancy also loved to knit and enjoyed gardening with Delph in their flower garden. Nancy will be missed by her family and friends for her laughter, love, and determined personality but most of all, is loved dearly forever by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
